Imphal: Minister of Manipur’s Minister of Manipur N Benen announced Tuesday that the three olympics bonded athletes from the state will be given financial support of Rs 25 Lakh and will be given more cash awards if they return with medals.
CM says the winner of the gold medal will be given a cash prize of RS 1.20 Crore and the silver medalist will get the hospital.
One crore.
The bronze medal winner will get Rs 75 Lakh.
“It is time for us to come out to support sportsmen, compete in the Tokyo match starting from July 23 to August 8, 2021,” said Biren on the sidelines of an event.
Manipur’s P Sushila Chanu (Hoki), Nilakanta Sharma (HOKI), Shushila Liksabam (Judo) MM Mary Kom (Boxing) and Saikhom Mirabai Chanu (heavy lifting) will compete in the match, starting July 23.
