Mumbai: Private hospitals must place an order for vaccines with Cowin and cannot directly buy it from the manufacturer, July 1 and so on.
This center has also compiled a formula to decide on shares ‘maximum monthly boundaries’ that can be purchased by private vaccination centers to ensure the field of playing levels.
According to the SOP document circulated among Mumbai Hospital on Tuesday, the maximum vaccine stock of private hospitals can double their average daily consumption for a certain week in the previous month.
The hospital can choose one week of their choice to get a daily average and order.
Details will be taken from the Cowin site.
For example, if the personal vaccination center submits an order for July by selecting 10-16 June when 630 doses are given, the daily average dose will be 90 (630/7 = 90).
At the hospital, therefore, it can place a maximum order of 5,400 doses for July (90 x 30 x 2 = 5,400).
The document said the maximum limit for a month can be revised in the second half, based on consumption for the first 15 days.
For hospitals that plan to join the vaccination drive now and have no previous consumption records, the maximum limit will be worked on the number of hospital beds available.
Hospital 50 beds can order a maximum of 3,000 doses, 50-300 hospitals can order up to 6,000 doses and hospitals with more than 300 beds can order up to 10,000 doses.
SOP documents say the private vaccination center can order in four installments in a month.
“It does not need to be approved by the Government Authority.
The success of the submission of the procurement order in Cowin will be sufficient,” he said.
After the request is delivered, Cowin will collect the numbers of the District and State-Wise before forwarding it to the manufacturer.
Private centers must make payments in the National Health Authority Portal.
