Chandrapur: High Drama Witnessed at Bank Chandrapur District Central Cooperative (CDCC) On Wednesday after a dozen farmers led by Sena District President Sena Sandeep Gire demanded their deposits in the bank branch near Zilla Parishad.
Following the alleged embezzlement of RS2 Crore by the Nikhile Ghate cashier, more than a hundred cooperative communities and farmers have not been able to withdraw deposits and money from savings accounts in branches since the last six months.
This problem was revealed in mid-February when the cooperative community of loans began to complain that the money stored by them had not been credited to their account over the past few months.
Internal investigations expressed embezzlement by Ghate and police complaints submitted.
With the agricultural season at its peak, more than a dozen farmers from Sidur Village on Wednesday approached branches looking for their deposits and savings.
However, bank officials allegedly refused to give them money and provide dodged answers.
The farmers met Girlhe who took the President of Bank Santosh for the task of this issue and demanded the release of farmers’ money immediately.
The source said the care had convinced to return all the money stuck with the bank in a month.
Girhe warned intense agitation if the money was not returned.
