Ahmedabad: Satish Agnihotri, Irse Officer of 1982 Batch has taken over as the Implementing Director, National High Rail Corporation Ltd on Thursday.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree, 1982 and Master of Engineering (structure), 1984, both of the IIT, Roorkee and given a famous alumnus award in 2013 by IIT, Roorkee.
Agnihotri comes with more than 19 years of experience in the implementation of the Mega Rail infrastructure project.
He has worked as chairman & executive director, RAIL VIKAS NIGAM LIMITED (RVNL), ‘A’ CPSE schedule under the Railway Ministry for almost 9 years.
He also holds the position of Chair, High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd.
(HSRC), a subsidiary of fully owned by RVNL since the beginning of July 2012 to August 2018.
HSRC is an Indian side partner agent to carry out various high-speed studies carried out on the government’s basis to Government with China, Spain etc.
And complete a feasibility study of 5 high speed rail corridors.
During his term as cmd / rvnl, RVNL completed the length of the project including 3000 km double / 3rd lines, 880 km conversion meter gauge track to large size, 3000 km of train electrification, 85 km new line, 6 factories and many important bridges.
The 7 km long tunnel was also completed in a short period of 25 months in a new line project at Andhra Pradesh.
