New Delhi: India’s fuel consumption recovered intelligently in June to a pre-pandemic level when economic activities were picked up and tourists fell to large amounts of highways after countries raised the sidewalk above the country.
Gasoline consumption posted a monthly leap of almost 30% and diesel more than 18% in June to reach 90% and 81%, from sales in the same month 2019, when consumption is showing the latest market data.
Compared to last year, the volume of gasoline sold in June was almost 6% higher and short diesel was only around 2%.
Demand was drastically restricted in June 2019 because of locking throughout the country to examine Coronavirus from the spread.
Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expects a request to return to the pre-pandemic level by the end of this year.

We are sure at the end of the year, we will be in a very strong position to recover our original consumption behavior,” he told a function of the industry on Tuesday.
Gasoline consumption has dropped by 17% and sales of diesel, proxy for economic activity, has fallen 16% in May, the lowest since August 2020, because the second covid wave encourages locking in industrialized countries, especially the industry.
Jet fuel consumption is too recovering in June, falling only 4% short from May and 10% less than June 2020.
But compared to 2019, demand still down 61% because most summer holidays prefer to drive to the nearest destination than Fly to the place away.
LPG requests, or household cooking gas, posted a monthly increase of more than 6%, marking 26% growth in June 2019 and 9.5% higher than last year period.
