Pune: The State Education and Education Training Council Maharashtra has sent a proposal to the state government to continue cutting 25% in the syllabus for class I to XII, as implemented last year.
Dankar Temkar, Director of the Board, said while there might be no need to cut the syllabus if the school was reopened, it might be needed if they remained closed for a long time.
“The proposal for 25% cuts announced last year was limited in the previous academic year.
If the school is not open for a longer time, the state can cut the syllabus for this year.
This will be the same as last year,” Temkar said.
At present, teachers are doing bridge courses.
Temkar said new books would be distributed in eight to 10 days.
