New Delhi: Head of the Indian Army Manoj Mukund Naravane on Friday said the induction of the bridge the latest short range will increase the ability of tanks and armored vehicles in front of West with Pakistan.

G Satheesh Reddy revealed that L & T would provide 30 bridges in August.
“I thank L & T because it comes out with this bridge system in a short span.
I was told that at the end of August, they would be able to give around 30 bridges,” Reddy said.
In a big boost for ‘make in India’ in the defense sector, Indian soldiers received 12 the first 10 meter short-term bridge system programmed on Friday.
The bridge will help troops overcome geographical obstacles such as small rivers and canals if surgery along the western border with Pakistan.
The bridge was submitted to the corps engineer by General Naravane Army Head in the Organization of Research and Defense Development in Delhi Cantonment.
They are worth more than Rs 492 Crore.
This system has been designed by Indian Army Engineers along with Drdo and produced by Larsen and Toubro Limited in the country.
The installed bridge was mechanically launched and able to carry tanks of up to 70 tons compared to various types of water barriers.
The unique features of the system are compatibility with existing bridging systems that increase flexibility to negotiate all types of water barriers along the western border.
