Chennai: Vipin Puthiyedathetil, an assistant professor of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) from Madras Institute of Indian Technology (IIT), has resigned from the Premier Institute to quote caste discrimination.
He has sent a letter of resignation through a letter to the authorities.
Vipin Hails from Payyannnur in North Kerala and has taught in Madras IIT since March 2019.

Vipin in the letter said that he faced caste discrimination even in the Humanities department and that OBC teachers and SC / SC faced large discrimination at the Premier Institute.
Vipin Puthiyedathuveetil, who is the Faculty of Economics in the Humanities Department, in the letter said, “There are several examples of discrimination and I will pursue the right action to overcome this problem.” He also said, “Individuals in the position of power regardless of their affiliates and gender politics are claimed to be involved in discrimination.”
Assistant Professor in his letter has encouraged people at the institution to improve and improve complaints with complaint committees at the Institute and even by the court.
In a resignation letter, he suggested that the Institute form a committee to study the experience of SC and OBC faculties.
The letter also suggested that this committee must have a member of the SC / SC commission, the OBC Commission and a psychologist.

It can be noted that Fathima Latheef, a humanities student in Iit Madras has committed suicide in his dormitory room who accused him that he was discriminated against by college because his religion.
In a suicide note, he named a Professor of Iit Madras about discrimination.
The CBI investigation occurs in suicide.
