Mumbai: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), who is one of the government’s constituents of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra, on Friday accused that there was a conspiracy to defame the party’s image and its leaders.
Chairman of NCP spokesman and Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik made the statement a day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) sealed a sugar factory which was allegedly related to the Deputy Minister of State and the NCP leader Ajit Pawar.
“The way in which the report is planted against the ajit of the pawar and his family is wrong,” Malik said.
“Ed has sealed a sugar factory and takes further legal action.
Ajit Pawar and family members are not involved in illegal activities,” he said.
Ed said on Thursday that Sugar Factory – Jarandeshwar Sahkari Sakhar Karkhana, located in Chimangaon-Koregaon in the District of Satara – worth more than Rs 65 Crore has been attached under the anti-money laundering law in connection with the alleged Bank Cooperative Bank Maharashtra (MSCB ) Fraud.
Also said that companies related to the ajit of the pawar and his wife were involved in this case.
Previously, President of Maharashtra BJP Chandrakan would demand the CBI investigation against the ajit of the pawar and the minister of other countries on charges increased against them by canceling Mumbai’s Sachin Cop culut.
Ed had last week an attack on the place of former Minister of Maharashtra and NCP leader Anil Deshmukh regarding the money laundering case against him.
The agency also arrested two helpers Deshmukh in that relationship.
Deshmukh, who has resigned from his position in April after the accusation, has denied mistakes.
Sharad Pawar LED NCP shared strength with Shiv Sena and Congress in the MVA government formed after the 2019 Assembly poll.
