KABUL: Taliban has captured 700 trucks and humures from Afghan security forces and dozens of armored vehicles and artillery systems in June only, according to investigative reports.
This happened because a number of districts fell to the Taliban because the terror group had intensified his attack.
Local defense forces in several districts evaporate in facing Taliban pressure – sometimes without fighting, international news reports.
According to the open-source investigation report published in Oryx Blog by Stijn Mitzer and Joost Olieman, a large volume of military equipment donated or sold to Afghanistan to help him fight the Taliban, instead kept pouring into the group’s hands.
This blog was previously distinguished due to detailed open-source investigations on the loss of equipment in the Nagorno-Karabakh Nagorno conflict.
According to the blog, on the night of June 30, this study found evidence of 715 light vehicles that fell into the hands of the Taliban, with 65 others destroyed.
In 2018, the Afghan armed forces reportedly operated 26,000 vehicles including 13,000 humves from various signs, while Mitzer wrote that a total of 25,000 humves were transferred to Afghanistan in 2021.
During intensive battles, the Afghan government usually lost 100 humves.
When the Taliban has taken control of several districts throughout the country, the assessment of the US intelligence has suggested the state civilian government can fall in terror groups within a few months from attractive US forces.
General As Top in Afghanistan, Austin Miller has warned that deteriorating violence can lead to civil war.
US officials estimate that all withdrawals of their troops from the country will be completed in less than a week on the National Holiday on July 4, the New York Times reported.
As a deadly clash in Afghanistan continued to increase, hundreds of civilians had raised weapons against the Taliban to support government forces in several Afghan provinces.
