“Villages have been added to the city limits.
Property tax rates within civilian boundaries can now apply in these villages,” said Ayush Prasad, Chief Executive Pune Zilla Parishad.
In accordance with Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) official, the civilian government has begun to collect property taxes from 11 villages that are combined in 2017.
PMC collects around RS 60 Crore from these villages.

However, the Civic body has set a greater target this year.
With the state government that issued a notification of the merger of 23 villages, PMC is now the largest civil body in Maharashtra.
