Ahmedabad: Adding financial burdens to consumers, gasoline prices edged towards Rs 100 per liter.
On Friday, the price of gasoline touched Rs 96 per liter while Diesel was at Rs 96.03 per liter.
The impact is severe to consumers and transporter, because prices have risen almost 10% in a matter of 78 days.
Fuel prices continue to increase since April 15.
“Sales in April and may be disconnected due to restrictions to curb the spread of Covid-19.
However, in June, when the market was reopened, the sales volume had recovered significantly,” said the Federation member of the Petroleum Dealer Association (FGPDA).
