Congress: PM Must Order JPC Probe in Rafale

New Delhi: With French media who reported that the trial investigation had been ordered in the country into Rafale’s agreement, Congress on Saturday claimed Vindication and demanded that PM Narendra Modi order an investigation into alleged irregularities in Jet Purchasing Fighters.
“Corruption in the Rafale agreement has come out clearly now.
Stand of Congress and Rahul Gandhi have been justified today after the French government ordered an investigation,” said AICC spokesman Randeep Surjewala, referred to the investigation ordered by the French public prosecution body.
“When the French government has accepted that there was corruption in the agreement, the jpc investigation was not held in the country where corruption occurred,” he asked, even when he added that demand should not be seen through the politics of the lens partisan but must be seen as attention to national security.
“Will the Prime Minister, like France, now answered the nation and say when he will give up his government to the JPC probe into the scam Rafale,” said Surjewala.
Secretary General AICC Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Tweeted, “Three things cannot be hidden for long: the sun, moon, and truth, said Lord Buddha.” Pitching for JPC investigations, Congress said parliamentary panels would be able to summon witnesses and top ministers including PM, and also access government files that the Supreme Court or CVC could not read carefully.
He said the fact that the panel could request a probing query and punish for a fake oath would be a big asset in digging the truth.
