Punjab recorded 16 Covid-19 deaths, 172 new positive cases

Chandigarh: Punjab enrolled 11 Covid-19 deaths on Saturday, in addition to 172 new positive cases.
The total death amount of deadly virus in the country has now reached 16,103 and the total number of positive cases touched 5,96,265.
Punjab also recorded two new mucatorcosis cases on Saturday.
This has taken the total number of these cases in the state up to 599, in addition to a total of 51 deaths from it.
A total of 368 covid patients were disposed of from various hospitals throughout the state and a total of 44,277 tests were carried out on that day.
Ludhiana district recorded the highest number of 26 positive cases, followed by Jalandhar (24), Patiala (15), Bathinda (13) and Amritsar (12).
There are 2,538 Covid-19 active cases on Saturday throughout Punjab.
The country’s positioning level has dropped to 0.39%.
There are a total of 101 critical painful patients with ventilator support, 1,457 in oxygen support and 320 in level-III health facilities on Saturday.
