“To be honest, there is a stereotype when it comes to describing a female uniform officer on the screen,” Harleen Sethi’s shares, who are ready to describe the role of a CBI officer in the second season of the show, ‘The Gone Game’.
Led by Nikhil Bhatt, this show is the psychological thriller of Sanjay Kapoor, Shweta Tripathi, and Arjun Mathur.
In exclusive conversations with Etimes, young actresses that have become a sensation after the screen on the screen in ‘broken but beautiful’, talking about how important it is to break the image of ‘next girl’, like she stepped into the shoe of an officer.
‘The Gone Game’ has been obtained
Updated for the second season, with you coming up for it.
How does it feel?
At present, it feels amazing that you start working after a long time, with everything that happens in the world.
I’m just very happy to work, and when it comes to ‘The Gone Game’.
I am blessed to be part of a very credible project with credible actors.
When I watched the first season, I really objected to the kind of thing they did in locking.
It was very well directed, shot at home.
– It is a mini series, and you never realized when the five episodes took place.
With good performance, lighting, and music, I can’t say ‘no’.
You will play the role of a CBI officer.
How do you prepare yourself?
I am someone who likes to do my homework very well.
I like it, before I leave.
It’s the first time I play a character with a strong professional background.
Previously, I always played more types of girls who were relative.
So for me, this is an opportunity, which I don’t want to miss to break the picture.
As a female actor, there is very little part of this.
I was blessed to have an amazing director Abhishek Sengupta, who really helped me to get the best in me.
It is an absolute pleasure to play with him for this part.
My Director Abhishek and the author Radhika wanted to make this part different from what we saw before.
We have to work backwards, working throughout the background, conducting in-depth research on fraud, and other things related to lifestyle, psychology, an officer’s mindset.
An uniform officer or female police are often stereotypical in Bollywood.
With OTT, we can see a refreshing side …
To be honest, there are stereotypes which are why we all have tried their best to bring up a new perspective on how women’s officers look on the screen.
A female officer is far more than uniform.
And especially on the screen, he needs to see, walking talks like one, being a strong-headed and also has an emotional side too.
Fortunately, because of the web, we have a lot of creative freedom to add the right amount of detail.
In the end, it’s all trial when you, whether the audience will accept it, like it or not, will come later.
Is there an expectation set with season 2, considering the season 1 is anger?
Yes, there is pressure.
But maybe, it is a manufacturer’s pressure (laugh).
Because if I all time thinking about how good season 1 is, I might lose in bringing the right authenticity for season 2.
I will not be able to do justice and be honest at my time.
Are you happy with how things are for you?
I am very happy with God’s grace.
I know that my acting trip is rather slow.
But that too because I have made a very conscious decision.
I got a lot of offers, but I rejected many things, because the exclusivity would fade.
I want to have a nice and versatile bio.
At the beginning of my career, there was one and a half years for two and a half years, I became a very common face.
So, as much as I made, I did almost all brands, when I was considered because of work acting, I began to hear from people whose my faces became monotonous for the screen.
The good part is my face a little more flexible.
But I don’t want to hear it again.
I want to do limited things, but limited things they have to talk to themselves.
There are always scales that you say not many projects, and then people forget you.
In my own head, I want to do justice for the part that I play emotionally or physically, or whatever it is.
