New Delhi: Legendary Six-Time Champion Boxer M M Mary Kom and Men’s Hockey Captain Manpreet Singh will be the bearer of the Indian flag for the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics on July 23, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) announced on Monday.
The World Silver Championship Wrestler Medal Bajrang Punia will be a country flag bearer for the closing ceremony on August 8 percent of women’s athletes, IOA information.
Contingent has 78 quota and athletes will compete in around 85 medal positions.
This will be the Swansong Mary Olympics Mary Kom, after winning the bronze in the London 2012 match.
