New Delhi: The wealth of investors has surged by Rs 2.19 Lakh Crore in two days of general meeting, with market capitalization of companies listed in BSE reaching a new record RS 2,31,74,726 Crore.
Getting for the second consecutive session, the 30-Share BSE Sensex closed 395.33 points or 0.75 percent higher at 52,880 on Monday.
Benchmark has closed 166.07 points higher on Friday.
Following floating sentiment, market capitalization of companies registered in BSE enlarged Rs 2,19,283.79 Crore in two days to high highs of RS 2,31,74,726 Crore.
“The overall sentiment was positive because it fell into Covid-19 infection and an indication of more availability of vaccines.
Hopefully the reopening of a sustainable economy causes purchases in the sector most affected by Covid,” said Siddhartha Khemka, Head – Research Retails, Financial Services Oswal Motilal.
In trading on Monday, the Indian state bank was the largest enhancer in 30 frontline companies, up 1.92 percent, followed by Tata Steel, L & T, Bajaj Finserv, Larsen & Tubro Bank.
In contrast, Tech Mahindra, Dr.
Reddy, HCL Tech, Titan, Bharti Airtel and TCS are Lambgards, down to 1.34 percent.
In a wider market, BSE medium hat and small hat index rose to 0.78 percent.
From the sectoral index, only strength closed lower, while Realty topped the charts with a 2.84 percent gain, followed by metal at 1.49 percent.
