Ghaziabad: Assistant Professor who has stopped at Eastern Perperal Expressway (EPE) to check the engine of his car was held on a wall by two men with a bicycle and left only after his wife gave all the gold jewelry he was wearing.
Police said Aksh, a Delhi resident who taught engineering machinery at a private college, towards Moradabad.
He left his saket home at around 5 pm on Saturday with his wife Divyanshi, their three-month-old son, his brother and his mother.
When their car reached overbridge near Masturi at Ghaziabad at around 7:30 p.m., Aksh stopped to check the machine and clean the water from the windshield due to heavy rain.
Traffic on the toll road however thin due to heavy shower and pandemic.
“I was cleaning the windshield when two men on the white Apache bike came from the wrong side and stopped to ask me the way to Ghaziabad.
I told them to go straight.
They traveled a few meters, turn back and return to me.
This time , the man who drives a pistion has a stating gun in his hand.
He holds a gun into my stomach, “said the professor.
When Aksh begged them to let him go, saying that he hadn’t even seen his three-month-old son properly, the duo pointed to his wife and asked him to hand over the jewelry he was wearing.
He was not wasting time to give all the ornaments he had and two masked men drove.
“I started my car and stepped on the accelerator.
After a while, we saw the white Apache again.
They followed us for some time and then turned to Masturi,” Aksh said.
The family stopped at the police checkpoint in Hapur and narrated what had happened.
“Sub-inspectors there told me to go to the Masuri police station because the crime was under his jurisdiction.
I reached Masturi around 9pm and filed a complaint.
We then continued our journey to Moradabad,” Akash said.
Assistant professor and his family now decided to take highways and highways during the day.

Shailendra Pratap Singh, The Sho of Masuri Police Station, told TOI that FIR was registered against unknown people under the IPC 392 (robbery).
“We are checking CCTV recordings from cameras installed on the highway and the nearest area.
We hope to identify the defendant immediately,” he added.
