Jammu: Samba District Administration on Tuesday prohibits the use, sales, and purchase of drones and other flying objects.
This is the fourth J & K district after Srinagar, Rajouri and Kathua to ban drones after June 27 drone attacks at the Jammu Air Force Station.
“Restrictions have been imposed on the use of drones and unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) in this district.
All drones operating in Samba need to be registered with the Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) and Sub-Divisional Judge,” said the commandment issued by the Samba District Judge Anuradha Gupta , Orders added that government agencies use drones for mapping, surveys, supervision and other official goals must notify the local police station and executive judges concerned.
Each violation of the order will attract punishment as guaranteed in relevant law and SAMS SSP will ensure the implementation of the order, DM warns.
Even after the June 27 drone attack, the alleged UAV / Drone was seen drifting in various military and defense companies in Jammu at least four consecutive days.
