Bengaluru: billionaire promoter Wipro Azim Premji said schools in India must be opened after vaccinating all teachers quickly because the last one and a half years are too large to be ignored for children.
“Someone needs time to recover loss of learning.
If you continue to promote children to the next class, you create a very large deficit that cannot be filled,” he said at an event organized by the Bombay Chartered Accountant community.
Schools throughout the country have been closed due to the pandemic and the state government has been alert to reopen them, fear of children’s safety.
Premperi said that children must be exposed to the real world of India – the distribution of the income, injustice and insult millions – to help foster a sense of humanity in it.
“Exit and get involved with the real world.
Get your hands dirty, see the problem all live with, and it will move you to do whatever you can,” he said.
Promoter Wipro added people need to start giving back to the public early.
“Just like you need to do your physical fitness now than later, too, also, start working on your social fitness earlier.
I hope I have started much early.” The Premenji Foundation, was founded in 2000, has worked with a basic education system at school.

He said that to ensure maximum reach, it needs to partner with the government and the public system.
Public officials, he said, generally have the right intention, extraordinary reach and unmatched resources, even though they are often disabled due to lack of domain capabilities and bureaucratic processes.
