Kanpur: In an effort to find buried treasures, a woman and her daughter allegedly hacked her five-year-old neighbor’s daughter to death as part of a ritual sacrifice in the Banda district on Monday.
Surprisingly, the father of a dead girl had died ten days ago because of a prolonged disease.
The woman, and her daughter of Chamraudi Village under Kotria Police Kotwali committed a crime after coming under the influence of a magician.
“The magicians told the defendant that he would be buried by treasure, if he sacrificed a child as part of the ritual,” said the sources of the police.
