Ghaziabad: A man in his 20s died after he allegedly hit by a stray bullet who opened fire on a deer party at his friend’s house at Sahibabad on Tuesday.
Three of his friends, including people who had thrown a party and to get Ma-Red on Wednesday, had been arrested.
The police said that everyone involved was drunk at the time of the incident and fled after admitting the injured, Suraj Rai, to the hospital.
Himanshu Sharma (26) has invited his friends Suraj, the day of Om Tyagi and Abhishek Tyagi – all in his 20s – to his home for the evening party before his wedding.
“At the party, they all consumed liquor and dancing,” said the Sahibad Circle Officer Alok Dubey.
“Around 11pm, the day of the day suddenly revoked the revolver and began shooting in the air randomly.
One of the bullets about Suraj in the stomach and he fell unconscious,” he added.
The others panicked and hurryed Suraj to several hospitals before finally making him accepted at a private hospital in Vaishali, after that they fled, the circle officer added.
The hospital contacted the police, and the police told his family.
“Suraj died due to excessive bleeding during treatment.
We contacted his family and they told us that he had gone to a party with his friends,” Dubey said.
Brother Suraj Abhishek told Ti that he had left home after getting a call from Himanshu who invited him to the party.
“We then got a call from the police by saying he had been injured.
When we arrived at the hospital, we were told that he had died.
It was far later that we knew that he was hit by a bullet fired by the day of Om.
If his friends told him We were previously, Suraj might have been saved.
They tried to hide it and did not tell us, leaving him without supervision in the hospital, “Abhishek said.
With the identity of the defendant it was unclear, the police relied on CCTV footage from the hospital.
“We identified it after scanning the recording and arrested Himanshu, the day of Om and Abhishek from their home on Wednesday afternoon,” Dubey said.
The three have been ordered based on Section 304 (death due to negligence) and 34 (general intentions) of the IPC and the relevant parts of the ARM acting at the Sahibabad Police Station based on complaints by Suraj’s father.
The trio apparently told the police that the bullets were fired by an accidental day of Suraj because they were all drunk.
