Gurgaon: Almost one crore in Haryana has received the Covid-19 vaccine so far, but the coverage of the two countries remains low.
Based on the 2011 census, the total population projected Haryana is 2.92 crores.
As many as 95.1 lakh people, or around 32%, have received the first dose.
A little more than 16 lakh people, or only 5.4%, has been fully vaccinated with both of these doses.
According to the Ministry of Health data, 81,00,329 the covishield dose so far (69.15.225 The first dose and 11.85.104 second dose) while 14.02.163 has received Covaxin (9,80,823 first dose and 4.21,340 second dose).
7,288 people in the state have a first dose of sputnik.
Not surprisingly, the coverage of the second dose of Covaxin (30%) is higher than the covishield (14%) because of the gap between two less doses.
Gurgaon contributed nearly 16% of the total state vaccination and had given 14.97,131 vaccines so far.
Of these, 12.81.224 people received covishield (10.90,208 first dose and 1,91,016 second dose) and other 2,12,812 received covaxin (1.36,464 first dose).
3,095 people got the first dose of sputnik.
Thus, 15.3% of Gurgaon’s projection population of 17.46,998 has been fully vaccinated while 85.5% of people have received at least one dose.
When asked about the low-dose coverage of the second dose, Rajeev Arora, ACS (Health), Haryana, said the state had seen the maximum number of vaccinations in the past one month and, therefore, those who received the first dose have not fulfilled the requirements.
for further.
“Haryana also has more covishield than Covaxin, so many people still haven’t matured for their second jab.
There is a gap of 84 days between the first dose and both covishield.
Therefore, the second dose coverage is low,” Arora said.
He added, “We have mapped plans for vaccinations.
We concentrate on rural areas now and all districts will target more sessions there.
The camp will also provide transportation to the recipient so that we can achieve full coverage.
There is still a large population in the age group 18 -44 that need to be accounced.
“Arora said the current focus was to vaccinate people who had taken the first dose.
“We are preparing a special vaccination site in Haryana for the second dose recipient,” he added.
Meanwhile, the center on Wednesday directed all states to ensure that private hospitals apply through co-win victory for vaccine needs.
“The status of the vaccine will be simplified in two-three days.
Private hospitals that raise demand will get their stock within 48 hours.
The manufacturing unit can be sent to the hospital directly.
We will oversee the entire process,” said Dr.
Virender Ahway, immunization officer Country.
