Panaji: Following the Union cabinet reshuffle, five times MP Goa North MP and UNI ministers have been given a new portfolio, including state ministers for tourism and ports, shipping and waterways.
Rising told TOI that the tourism portfolio assignment would definitely benefit tourism in the state of Goa.
He also said that his ministry would work to promote medical tourism in the state, and also tried to get a new tourism project.
Furthermore, he said that he would try to complete projects in the state he had taken as ayush minister.
Over the past seven years, up is the Minster of State with an independent charge from the Ayush Ministry.
He was the first Ayush minister after the portfolio was formed in 2014 under the government of Narendra Modi-LED.
In 2019, he was also appointed as Minister of Defense.
The seats of the North Goa parliament have been represented by up since 1999.
He first became Minister of State Union in the Prime Minister of Prime Minister Bihari Vajpayee-LED and held various portfolios from finance to civil flights.
