Jaipur: Five family members were killed after a dumper truck that quickly plowed them near the Mandawar area in Jhalawar Rajasthan Regency on Wednesday and Thursday intervention.
According to the police, the victims were laborers.
They slept in the hut beside the highway when the dumper truck lost control, maybe because of excessive speed, and hijacked into their emergency home.
The victims were identified by the Mandawar police station as Suresh, his wife Sita Bai, their children-pawan, Kamlesh and Nirmala.
Head-Pegawasan, Brij Raj told toi that the family slept when the vehicle flared and hit them.
“The accident took place shortly after midnight.
We have arrested the truck driver from the scene,” he said.
The police claimed two other ongoing injuries in the accident.
