LONDON: The UK has recorded more than 30,000 Coronavirus infections every day for the first time since January, just like the British government prepares to lift all the remaining locking restrictions in the UK.
Government figures showed 32,548 cases confirmed on Wednesday, the highest level since January 23.
For most spring, infection is under 5,000 marks.
But the arrival of a more contagious Delta variant, first identified in India, is likely to cause a case of surge.
Despite increasing, the British government said it was still aimed at lifting all remaining locking restrictions in the UK on July 19, a step that many scientists said were said to be.
Health Secretary Sajid Javid said cases could reach the highest every day from 100,000 this summer, the level of infection that was not achieved during the wave of the previous virus.
Government Prime Minister Boris Johnson hopes the launch of a quick vaccine has created a wall of immunity.
That, he said, would limit the amount of hospitalization and death.
