China targets the Uyghur family to the silence of activists abroad: rights groups

MUNICH: The pro-Uyghur group has condemned the practice of Chinese government to target Uyghur’s “family room” to silence Uyghurs abroad.

Wuc said that some students in these countries had rejected the association’s invitation, whose relatives were detained by the Chinese authorities.
“For Uyghurs in Diaspora, it is often contacted by Chinese authorities and is urged to return to China.
Especially in Central Asian countries, the Chinese consulate has actively tried to convince Uyghur to return to the promise that the Chinese authorities will do it facilitate reuniting with Family members, “added the group.
