Kanpur: A 25-year-old man was hacked to death on Wednesday night at Kurona Bahadur Nagar, in the Bidhnoo police area in the district.
The body was found on Thursday.
After killing the man, the attackers threw the body in the bore hole from the nearest TubeWell.
The police identified the deceased as the son of Ankit Prakash Yadav from Bahadur Kurauna Nagar.
Family members have searched for the man until Wednesday night, but it didn’t work.
Locals who went to work on their farm on Thursday came across Ankit’s corpse and told him, who in turn warned the police.
The police along with the forensic team and sniffer dog rushed to the place and launched an investigation.
The police suspected love affair was the reason behind the murder.
Ankit, the only son of Prakash Yadav, is a dumper driver.
“On Wednesday night, he left the house immediately returned home.
When he didn’t get back late at night, his family members kept looking for all night.
The villagers who went to work on Thursday morning on agriculture told human family members after coming across his body Lying in the tubewell hole on the field of Nahar Singh, “police said.
Local residents told the police about the incident.
Asp Kanpur Outer Aditya Kumar Shukla along with a police team and dog and forensic expert rushed to the place and started an investigation.
The defendant killed the man by attacking him with a shovel in the neck and headed for the bundry.
“After this the body was dumped in the nearest bore hole.
The killers also took cellphones, the dead Ankit wallet.
During the investigation, the sniffer dog returned from the site to the village on the other side of the village,” the police said.
SP Aditya Kumar Shukla said that the investigation was being carried out taking into account all possible aspects behind the incident.
“Investigations are also carried out on love affair,” he added.
