Hyderabad: Marking the birth alert of his father and former chairman of the United AP Minister, Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, Y S Sharmila on Thursday announced the launch of the Telangana Party YSR (YSRTP).
He told supporting meetings in the Hall of the Private Function in Hyderabad that welfare, independence and equality would be the three main pillars of a new party.
He also promised to distribute 50% of seats in assembly elections to women and added that BCS would be given a reservation on the basis of the population.
He claimed the chairman of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao did not know what the welfare was.
Taking potshots to him, he said the welfare scheme was announced but not applied.
“The definition of standing on a person’s feet makes people stand in line for Covid-19 treatment, standing in line with the ration card and everything else,” he said.

He tried to know why 6,000 farmers had committed suicide when Rythu Bandhu was being carried out.
