Gurgaon: From Friday, pregnant women in the district will be able to make themselves vaccinated on the website of the Walk-In government session.
On Thursday, Gurgaon received 11,000 doses of covishield.
It already has more than 7,500 covaxin doses.
A total of 44 government session sites, including Mobile Van, will provide Jab to the recipient on Friday.
“Seven sites – Chome, Manesar, Tigra, Badshapur, Gangola, Metro City Center Huda and Bus Vaccine – will provide a second dose of Covaxin.
The remaining 37 sites will provide 75 first doses and 75 covishield doses,” said Dr.
Virender Yadav, Chief Medical Officer, Gurgaon.
Vaccines will be offered to pregnant women if there are no contraindications.
Women can get shots at each stage of pregnancy.
Pregnant women who develop Covid-19 are more likely to need intensive care than others.
In accordance with the Ministry of Health data, nearly 3,500 shipments were carried out in a month and 40,000-45,000 in a year.
According to the guidelines, based on the recommendations of the National Technical Advisory Group on immunization, the Ministry of Health and the Welfare of the family have approved the vaccination of pregnant women on the condition that they were informed of the risk of Covid exposure along with the risks and benefits associated with vaccines.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, 7,785 people got JABS – 4,804 got the first dose and 2,981 got a second dose.
