Mexico City: Mexico enters the third wave of the Pandemic Coronavirus, because infection rose 29% compared to the previous week.
But the State Health Department said on Friday growth mostly came from infection among younger and less vulnerable people.

Assistant Health Secretary Hugo López-Gatell said the increase in infection was not due to the arrival of the Delta variant, but more for increasing public activities.
Mexico City Health Authority said they expected the third wave to peak in August in the capital, which was the worst by Covid-19 in two previous waves.
Mexico has suffered nearly 235,000 deaths confirmed by the test, but because the country did a little testing, government figures for excess deaths showed that the true victims were around 360,000 deaths.
