Lucknow: Violence erupted in several districts during the block chairman on Saturday with a police officer who suffered an injury in the Mob attack on Etawah and a party worker Jamajwadi took a bullet in Hathras.
At least 17 districts, including Hamirpur, Sonbhadra, Hathras, Amroha, Chandauli, Pratapgarh, Barabanki and Unnao were fired by violence on the day of polling.
Protests raged in Ayodhya, Rae Bareli, Siddharthnagar, Mahoba and Muzaffarmagar after several independent accused them stopped from giving their votes in the presence of the police.
In Etawah, additional police supervisors, Prashant Kumar Prasad, were injured while trying to stop the mass of 200 m from a polling booth in the Badhpurwa Block.
Mobsters running Amok threw rough bombs and rocks to disrupt voting, said SSP, Etawah, Brijesh Singh.
Moments before, a video became a virus where the injured ASP could be heard talking on the phone about BJP supporters targeting the police.
“We have troubled the incident and the FIR will soon be submitted.
Nothing will survive,” SSP said.
Speaking with Toi, Inspector General of Police, Kanpur Range, Mohit Agarwal said, “SSP and DM Etawah have been asked to immediately submit a report on the ASP Prashant Kumar attack.” In Block Miyaganj Unnao, a journalist was allegedly hit by a certain party administration and cadres.
In addition to the Director General of Police, Law and orders, Prashant Kumar, said, polling for 476 chair chair of the block was held in 74 districts where clashes were reported only in 17 districts.
“We have instructed the district police chief to act against those involved in violence and take victory marching,” he said.

A similar scene was witnessed in the Chandauli district where rival supporters came to a punch.
Apart from the spread of heavy police, SP and BJP workers clashed outside the polling booth in Amroha, Sonbhadra and Barabanki and many were reportedly injured.
