Riyadh: King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and visited Sultan Oman Haitham bin Tariq held a negotiation session in the planned cross-border city, according to government media.
In a report, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said that during the session on Sunday, the two leaders reviewed bonds and cooperation in various sectors between the two countries.
The session was held after the arrival of the Sultan to the previous royal on the day at the invitation by King Salman, the Xinhua news agency reported.
This was the first visit by Oman’s leader in more than a decade.
This two-day visit aims to strengthen relationships and cooperation in various fields for the steady interests and progress of the people of both countries, spa reports highlighted.
After the session, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding to form a coordination board for state attitudes in various problems.
Also that day, the two-country trading ministers also met to discuss ways to promote bilateral trade and investment opportunities.
