Salt Lake City: Three men have been arrested in connection with the death of a 7-year-old girl who was hit by a lost bullet in her home Utah, said the authorities.
The girl died at Heber Valley Hospital on Friday night, said the Sheriff Wasatch County office.
The child’s name was not released.
Christopher O’Connell, 34, was arrested on Saturday due to suspicion of murder and faced charges of drugs and other weapons.
Two other men, Colin Howells, 36, and Treube Pinter, 21, were also arrested for alleged crimes that were not directly related to the death of the girl.
The police found O’Connell near the apartment in Heber City after the shooting, according to the police record.
Detective said his speech was red and he had a gun.
Howells and O’Connell were inside the neighboring apartment smart Friday night, according to the arrest document.
The clerk found a bullet hole on the wall of the apartment which continued to the girl’s apartment, the document said.
Detectives spoke to two women who said howells and O’Connell sexually attacked them in Pinter’s apartment.
The women also said they saw O’Connell pulled the gun and waved it and asked him to put it down.
According to the police document, Howells told the officers that he had consumed drinking alcohol and recipes that night.
O’Connell has been convicted of driving under the influence of at least three times, KSL TV reported.
Howells was also punished in a drunken incident in 2016 and was charged with DUI in January.
Pinter and Howells are released on a guarantee.
O’Connell was ordered to be held without a guarantee.
It was not immediately known whether the three suspects were a lawyer who could comment on their names.
