HC looks for status reports from CBI in the nimgade murder case

Nagpur: Nagpur bench Bombay High Court on Monday search for a status report from the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) in the murder of the architect of the Nimgade Veteran Veteran.
Since the probe was handed over to the Premier Investigation Agency by HC on October 17, 2016, there was almost no progress in the murder.
HC bench has asked CBI to submit a status report within two weeks.
Senior citizens were shot five times by the attackers when he returned from the morning road on September 6, 2016, at Lal Imli Chowk.
Tehsil police have registered a murder case and formed 15 squads to track attackers.
In his 70s, the deceased was alleged to have a lot of disputes with builders and developers of the property worth RS200 Crore, which is scheduled to be the main reason for his murder.
Eight shots had been sacked to him, where five bullets pierced his body, police said.
After the police failed to find the culprit for a long time, his son and disclosure Anupam had approached the judiciary, demanding an investigation by the CBI.
His family members also claimed the police had pressed them to make recognition and bad in their investigation.
The applicant questioned the police efficiency to investigate the murder, said other family members were under threat until the defendant was not caught.
He even demanded police protection for his family members.
However, even CBI failed to make progress in murder and submit a closing report in court in December last year.
Then, in March this year, the city police claimed to have solved the mystery of murder and rounded up nine of the 14 defendants, claiming to be a contract murder case for RS5 Crore.
According to them, it was done by the Interstate gang which included snipers from Uttar Pradesh.

The police have submitted the defendant to the CBI along with the list of their hands.
