Yangon: Myanmar Junta Authority has slapped more allegations of corruption in Aung San Suu Kyi, his lawyer said Tuesday, adding an eclectic content sheet that could see the Nobel winner imprisoned more than a decade.
A bulk rebellion in Myanmar against the February’s military coup has met with brutal crackdown which has killed more than 890 civilians, according to the local monitoring group.

He will face four allegations of corruption again, his lawyer Khin Maung Zaw told reporters on Tuesday, adding to those he faced over the claim that he illegally received $ 600,000 in cash and about 11 kilos of gold.
The legal team has not seen “the first information report and other documents”, he said, added that the allegations would be heard by the court in the second city of Mandalay from July 22.
Hearing Tuesday for the allegations Suu Kyi violated Covid’s restrictions was postponed, because there were no witnesses of prosecution that appeared, Khin Maung Zaw said.
On Monday, a prosecution witness failed to testify after being infected with Coronavirus.
