Chennai: Madras High Court has enforced a fine of RS 1 Lakh to Actor Vijay to collect a challenging tax on his imported luxury car, rolling Royce Ghost, said the famous actor “is expected to pay taxes immediately and on time,” and actors seen by Their fans as a true hero “can’t just roll hero.” Stopping petitions related to the import of a car from England in 2012, Judicial BC Subramaniam said, “In a state of Tamil Nadu, where such actors have become rulers, they are not expected to behave such as ‘Heroes of Reels’.
Tax avoidance must be interpreted as Anti-national habits, attitudes and mindsets and are not constitutional, “said the judge in July 8 released on Tuesday.
The court directed the actor to pay a fine to the Public Assistance Fund in the 19 Minister of Justice within two weeks.
The current car market price in India is around RS 6 Crore.
Tax included in TN is 20% of the cost of the car.
Noting that the non-payment of taxes by the applicant will never be appreciated, the judge said the actor must respect the lakh sentiment and his fans who watched the film by paying a ticket.
“This is only because such money the applicant has bought a ‘prestigious world’ car for his personal use,” said the court.
“These actors describe themselves as champions to bring social justice.
Their films oppose corruption in the community.
But they avoid taxes and act in a way that is not in accordance with the provisions of the law,” said the judge.
While ordinary people are motivated and encouraged to behave as legitimate citizens and pay taxes and to grow hard to achieve social justice in society, rich, rich and famous people fail to pay taxes, said the judge, adding that if it’s a situation, far to achieve constitutional goals.
The court has conducted this observation in the hope of applicants and other major citizens who are placed in this way they will pay their taxes in accordance with the law and make our nation proud, the judge said.
