Panaji: Some parents of students from schools in South Goa have written to the main minister of Sawant Pramod and the Directorate of Education stated that their children have been driven to the pre-nursery section by school.
Parents say that school actions are based on the DOE circle, which states that a child must reach the age of three to enter the nursery school.
Circular was issued by the DOE to meet the requirements of the 2020 National Education Policy, which stated that a child must complete at least three years before May 31 a year to be treated at the nursery level.
Parents from Margao said that acceptance for nurseries by school had been carried out in January 2021.
But circling on NEP requirements from DOE only came in June.
According to receipt notices run by school in January, a student who has reached the age of two can be accepted for nurseries.
Parents say that their children are in accordance with the nursery and they have paid a fee, when doe circular arrives in June, changing the age of entry.
“The form of acceptance that was completed on behalf of my daughter was submitted by me on January 25, 2021.
I was then called to pay a fee.
Thus I made a payment of Rs 13,300 for the months from June to August 2021.
Next, a progress for March 2022 to May 2022 was also taken, “Parents of one child have stated in the letter to CM.
Parents say their daughter began attending online nursery classes from June 14.
But circular the Directorate came on June 22.
Parents have urged CM to attract circular spent by DOE because it is issued after the receipt process is complete.
