Jaipur: The deadly lightning that hit Amber Fortress on Sunday night killed 11 people had caused people to demand a solution to avoid such incidents in the future.
According to experts, the answer is the arrester of the lightning arrester, which needs to be installed at the top of the building, especially in tourist attractions where people gather throughout the year.
On Tuesday, the head of a number of tourist hubs such as expensive Eve, Amber Fortress, Jantar Mantar and Nahargarh demanded the installation of the Lightning Arester from the government and wrote a letter to their department.
Albert Hall is the only tourist spot in the city where the lightning arrester has been properly installed and in working conditions.
According to the Albert Hall museum supervisor, Rakesh Champak, the copper plate installed from the top of the building flowing to the ground is the key to avoiding lightning.
Champis said, “There were two incidents of lightning in 2006 and 2012 or 2013 but because of the equipment installed on the monument, a tragedy was avoided.” Eve expectant inspector Saroj Chanchhani wrote to the department demanding the installation of the lightning arrester at the top of the monument, which was in the middle of the walled city and witnessed many steps of tourists.
“We need to install the arrester in various yellow fortress areas because it is very large,” said Pankaj Dharendra.
