Srinagar: Three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists, including a commander from Pakistan, was killed in a meeting in the Pulwama District of South Kashmir on Wednesday.
Security forces pay attention and avoid collateral damage by evacuating civilians safely from the area before anti-terror surgery begins.
Terrorists who were killed were identified as Aijaz aka Abu Huraira from Pakistan, and two local terrorists – Ahmad, not from Pulwama and Shahnawaz Nazir Ganie from Awantipora.
“Aijaz, desirable in a series of cases related to terror, play an important role in luring Kashmir’s youth to take weapons, in addition to planning and carrying out terror attacks in the area, including those in the police and security company),” Igp (Kashmir) said Vijay Kumar.
The other two were also involved in several terror crimes and civilian cruelty, police said.
Based on intelligence input on the presence of terrorists in the street area of the new Colony Hospital Pulwama, a joint team of soldiers, CRPF and police J & K have launched the Cordon-and-search operation there Tuesday night, said IGP Kumar.
Once the presence of terrorists was established, security forces gave ultras the opportunity to surrender.
However, terrorists hiding, shooting at the search party, triggered a meeting.
“This operation was suspended while the night fell, even when Cordon remained intact.
The terrorists tried to escape take advantage of darkness but did not succeed,” said IGP.

In the next shootout, the Lashkar trio was killed.
