Encouraging them to perform well in the match, cm announced that once they returned from Japan, he would invite all of their players and families to Lucknow where the government would facilitate them.
Recently, the government announced a cash prize for the players if they won a medal in the match, starting from Rs 6 Crore to the winner of the gold medal in individual events, Rs 4 Crore to the winner of the Silver Medal and Rs 2 Crore to the Bronze Winner.
Additional Rs 10 lakh will be given to each player to participate.
“After talking to you, I realize that most of you come from Meerut or the surrounding area.
The government has recognized the contribution to sports and build sports universities there.
We have also included the manufacture of sports equipment in Meerut under the scheme of ‘one district -One ‘, “CM said, added that the university would provide a platform for sportsmen and youth.
10 sportsmen from the top who participated in the Olympics this year including Priyanka Goswami, Annu Rani, Saurabh Chaudhary, Roma Ahmed Khan, Arvind Singh, Seema Punia, Vandana Kataria, Satish Kumar, Shivpal Kumar Upadhayay.
During his interaction with sportsmen, the players asked CM to see the development of reason and infrastructure in the state.
They also said that while assistance from the government was welcome at their career stage, the government must also ensure the provision of facilities and financial assistance to players when they were at the beginning of their careers and in honing young people.
CM said that when they returned from Japan, they had to compile a proposal and submit it to the government so that the actions could soon be taken on their advice.
