Defense Min launched the MGMT complaint application developed with the help of IIT-K

Times News Network Kanpur: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, on Thursday, launched an AI -Powered complaint management application (AI) in New Delhi, developed by the Ministry of Defense (MOD) with the help of IIT-Kanpur.

Ajay Kumar, Extra Secretary, Darpg V Srinivas, Secretary of the Additional Mod of Nivedita Shukla Verma, Director, Iit-Kanpur, Professor Shalabh, Professor Nisheeth Srivastava and Other Senior Mod other officials were present on that occasion.
Web-based applications have been jointly developed by the Department of Defense, Mod, Department of Administrative Reform and Public Complaints (DARPG) and Iit-Kanpur team consisting of Professor Shalabh, Nisheeth Srivastava, and Piyush Rai.
This is the first AI, data science, and machine learning based system developed to increase redressal complaints in the government.
AI tools developed as part of the initiative have the ability to understand the contents of complaints and identify repetitive complaints or spam automatically.
This can categorize complaints from various categories even when if the keywords are not in complaints.
It also allows geographical analysis of complaints in the category including the analysis of whether the complaint is handled adequately or not by the office concerned.
Easy-to-use searches allow users to formulate queries / categories depending on management requirements and search for performance results on request.
Given that Lakh complaints are accepted on the Portal Repetition and Monitoring of Public Complaints (CPGRAMS) Portal DARPG, this application will be very useful in understanding the properties of complaints, geography they come from and policy changes that can be introduced to be created.
Systemic improvements to overcome this complaint.
Speaking on that occasion, Rajnath Singh described the application as a good governance product, which reflected the growth of synergy between the government and academics.
He said that this initiative was a government-centered government reform aimed at empowering the community in general.
The Defense Minister praised the Department of Public Administration & Complaints Reform (DARPG) because of his role in the reform of public complaints the recovery system, by saying that completing complaints of people is great service in itself.
He added that the active involvement of well-known institutions such as Iit-Kanpur will further improve the system and resolve complaints in transparently and effectively.
The success of this project in mod will open the way for the extension of this application.
Mod and Iit-Kanpur intend to encourage their collaboration going forward in the coming years, trying to increase the use of AI to dispose of complaints of citizens.
The application will be enhanced with more features in the next three years.
The tripartite MoU for the project was signed between the Department of Defense, Mod, Department of Administrative Reform and Public Complaints (DARPG) and Iit-Kanpur on August 4, 2020.
