Pune: A 35-year-old man was shot dead by two suspects in Nira, around 60km from here.
The incident occurred on Friday night.
Pune rural police have identified victims as Ganesh Raskar from Nira.
Raskar was shot in his head from a very close range, said an officer from the rural police officer, the officer said that the murder occurred around 7:30 a.m.
Raskar was immediately taken to a government hospital in Nira, where he gave up on a bullet injury, the officer said.
The police have confirmed the identity of the two attackers.
“They come from the Satara District,” the officer said.
Additional supervisors of the Baramati Police Division Millind Mohite reached the place.
The police had brought Nakabandi to arrest the duo.
The murder case was being registered with the police of the Jejuri.
