Kozhikode: shows part of their commitment in creating awareness of dowry in marriage, police personnel in the city on Saturday took a mass oath against social crimes, which have caused a series of deaths in Kerala.

“Oath taking is part of creating awareness among people against the threat of dowry.
All parents must record all communications in connection with their wedding ward in some gadgets so that it can be used as evidence of any unfortunate incident”, the commissioner suggests.
In addition to around 100 police officers who participated in the functions of oath taking, personnel at the police station also took demanding and giving dowry.
Kerala has witnessed a series of deaths related to Mahar recently, after the Governor of the State which Arif Mohammed Khan has done dawn to create awareness of social crime.
Remembering the increasing complaint of dowry harassment reported in the state, the Kerala government has changed the rules of the ban on a dowry to appoint ‘Dowry ban officers’ in all 14 districts as part of taking strict steps to threats.
Post Officer of Profites, which already existed with a regional basis in three districts-Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode, has now been expanded to all districts.
Regional Officers and Children’s Development will act as a prohibited officer in each district, the Minister of Health, said Veena George.
