Mumbai: Maharashtra on Sunday reported 9,000 fresh Covid-19 cases and 180 deaths, taking infection calculations to 62.14.190 and tolls to 1,27,031, the state health department said.
With 5,756 patients issued during the day, the count of recovery in Maharashtra rose to 59,80,350 so far, leaving the country with 1,03,486 active cases, he said.
The level of recovery of Maharashtra cases is now at 96.24 percent and the mortality rate is 2.04 percent, the department said in a report.
Mumbai City reported 455 new cases and 12 deaths, which raised the cashier to 7.31,158 and count of fatalities to 15,702.
The Mumbai Division, which consisted of city and satellite cities, saw 1,481 fresh cases and 29 deaths, took an infection count to 16.25,940 and tolls to 33,260, according to the department.
The Nashik division reported 1,078 cases including 645 in the Ahmednagar and 200 districts in Nandurbar Regency.
Division Pune reported 2,320 fresh infections including 783 in Satara District and 378 in the city of Pune.
The Kolhapur division continues to report the highest number of cases in the state with an additional 3,662 infection, including 2,052 in Kolhapur Regency, during the day, the department is added.
Aurangabad Division reported 64 new cases, the Latur Division 280, Division Akola 55, Nagpur 60 Division and Nagpur City 18 cases during the week, he said.
With 2,20,784 new tests, the total number of samples tested so far in Maharashtra have reached 4.54.81.252, the department said.
