Nagpur: The forestry department is considering compensating royalty worth Rs 1.68 Crore in a leaf collection of tendu by two companies from Gonda, causing large losses of the country, and losing a bonus for tenders.
In 2017, the two companies – Jamnadas Morarji & Morarji Tribhuvandas, Gondia, were part of a collection of tendu in 11 units under the Gondia Division.
After the collection season, these companies submit six applications for reducing the results of notifications in 6 units in the field so that they cannot collect products as far as the results of sanctions because units side by side under community forest rights (CFR).
Six units are under Jurisdiction of Saundad, Kohmara, Dongargaon, Shenda, Jamdi, Rengefar, Kanhalgaon, Parsodi, Chichgad, Piparkhadi and Kadikasa Village in the Gondia District.
CCF, Nagpur, rejected all cases of appeals in April 2018 as the terms and conditions of tender notice are violated.
The companies subsequently appealed to APCCF (NTFP) in July 2018, which was also rejected in the field that these companies bought CFR units that side by side with the department unit and collected more than double the results notified by diverting the collecting of the tenders from the department unit , After the 2017 collection season, the company claims the reduction of results notified by 1,843 standard pockets and therefore, demanding rousalti rs 1.68 crore from the department.
Meanwhile, these companies make an invalid agreement with CFR villages and pay more collection costs than the level approved by the government.
Therefore, all of their appeals are rejected.
In accordance with the terms and conditions of the tender notification, before sending offers, the parties are advised to check the units offered delivered.
After submission of offers, no complaints about any nature entertained by the government.
“The parties also have no right to claim any compensation for loss or damage that may be maintained by fire, rain, storms, diseases, pests, floods, droughts or other natural disasters or for any reason the wrong action committed by third parties anything or for any other reason, “said forest officials.
However, after the rejection of all the appeals, the company appealed before the forest minister Sanjay Rathod, which, after hearing the appeal in March 2020, giving orders after nine months supporting these companies in December 2021, APCCF (NTFP) appealed to the minister to reconsider Commands based on the actual facts because the orders of the Minister of Forest are based on the old facts.
However, further decisions in this case are awaited from the state government.
“If the government receives the request of these companies to reduce royalties, there will be a big losses that result in seizing the rights of the local population of their right to bonuses, which flow to Crores every year.
This will also defeat state policy for the socio-economic development of the tribe The tribe is poor and establishes the wrong precedence, “said a senior forest official.
