Kolkata: The week ends on a slow record of crossing Kolkata vaccination centers with the city only 4,822 doses on Sunday, even as the center of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) and they are in several private hospitals and the government remains closed.
However, it could significantly increase this week, with most hospitals and civil centers received fresh supplies last week.
Last week had seen a large Spurt in the number of inoculation with several private hospitals – who had submitted a vaccine through the co-win portal under the new procurement system – and the centers of the KMC received new supplies.
The KMC center accepts augmented vaccine supply for four consecutive days last week.
According to KMC health department officials, the allocation for each CVC has never dipped under 200 average doses for four days – Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
This week accommodates stable dose administration promises without soaking in numbers.
KMC officials believe that there will be no scarcity of vaccines for clinics at least on Monday and Tuesday, go with existing stocks.
There are 195 CVCs located in 144 KMC environments.
It’s separate, KMC runs the mega vaccination center from city auditoriums, ceremonial houses, theater rooms and academic institutions.
The number of doses dropped in most private hospitals even when other people closed their CVCS.
While some CVCs, such as the RN Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences and nearless, remain silent on Sundays, both have received new stocks and plans to improve the drive from Monday.
“We have received our stock of 35,000 covishield doses on Saturday.
We did not run our CVC on Sunday.
We plan to start at home starting tomorrow,” said RTIICS ZONAL HEAD R VENKATESH.
Peerless Hospital has also received fresh supplies and plans to vaccinate at least 600 a day.
