New Delhi: There will be no general entry test of the Central University (Cucet) this year because of the applicable pandemic situation.
The University Grant Commission (UGC) told the same thing on Sundays that stated that the entrance test might be implemented from the academic session of 2022-23.
Before locking because of the second wave of Covid-19 infection, the Ministry of Education planned to introduce cucet from 2021-22.
The Expert Committee handed over its recommendations to UGC and then to the Ministry in March 2021.
“Given the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic, the reception process at the central universities during the 2021-22 ACAD session, can continue in accordance with past practices.
The middle university is a general entry test (cucet) can be implemented from the 2022-23 ACAD session,” said UGC in Tweet.

Central universities such as Delhi University and the University of Jawaharlal Nehru have decided to continue their recognition as in practice.
While DU on Saturday announced that it would continue with achievement-based acceptance for undergraduate courses for session 2021-22 and registration for the same will begin on August 2, the JNU entrance test will be carried out by the National Test Agency.
