Multan: Bus that quickly brought most of the workers traveling home for a big Muslim vacation crashing into a container truck on a busy highway in the center of Pakistan on Monday, killing at least 33 people, police officials and rescue.
The bus has left the sialkot city and travels on Jalan Taunsa; The aim is that the city of Dera Ghazi Khan in the East Punjab Province, said Senior police officer Hassan Javed.
The exact cause of the accident was still under investigation, he said.
Rescuers transport dead and injured to the nearest hospital.
According to Sher Khan who is responsible for the rescue team at that location, some who were injured were in critical condition.
He said the bus driver was among 33 who was killed in the accident.
Khan said the passengers traveled to their home district in Rajanpur to celebrate the upcoming Eid al-Adha party.
TV recordings and photos circulating on social media show rescuers try to remove the body from a very evil bus.
In one picture, some who were injured were seen sitting near the bus, waiting for medical assistance.
Pakistani Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said his condolences on Twitter and suggested public transport drivers to be more careful of the lives of those who had been entrusted to them.
“When we as a nation realize that violations of traffic rules are fatal,” he said.
The deadly accident often occurs in Pakistan because of poor road infrastructure and ignores traffic laws.
