Chennai: All 8,16,473 students who have registered for the XII TN class board exam are declared to have graduated under the system weights on Monday.
Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi released the results and within minutes of students get text messages on their registered cellphone numbers with sign details.
From 8.16,973 students, 4,35,973 were girls and 3,80,500 were boys.
As many as 39,679 (4.86%) students get a range of 551 values to 600 marks.
More than 77% of students scored above 400 of 600.
“this year, 30,600 students get a score between 551 values and 600 marks in the flow of science, compared with 1,867 students in the previous year.
In a trade stream, 8,909 students scored in the same range Compared to 4,437 students last year.
In the vocational group, 136 got a value above 551, “he said.
The state government gives a 50% weight for class X board test signs, 20% to class XI signs and 30% becomes a practical and internal assessment of class XII.
33,557 students, who have arrears in class XI, are also promoted because Covid-19, said Poyyamozhi.
He added that the optional exam for students who were harmed by the weight and exam system for 39,000 private candidates would be held in September or October.
